Summer Wedding in Orillia

Wow. That’s the only thing that comes to mind when I think back to Brit and Mike’s Orillia wedding at The Mariposa Inn. All week, the forecast had been calling for rain. Not just rain, but thunderstorms – an 80% chance. I was watching the radar all day on Friday. Finally before I went to sleep, I saw the storms were moving in overnight and by the time the festivities were starting the next day, the sun would be out. Claudia and I were so excited to see Brit and Mike. We had an incredible e.session last summer when they were here from Edmonton. We knew what they were capable of in front of the camera, so we couldn’t wait to start shooting.

This wedding was also special for me because I’ve known Brit’s mum Dawn for many years. I knew how excited she was for this day. She always told me that Claudia and I would be the ones to photograph Brit and Katie’s weddings. We’ve crossed Brit off the list, so now we’re just waiting for Katie. 😉
