Rustic Barn Engagement

Jenn + Cody are 100% country. When Jenn was asking for some suggestions about where to take their engagement photos, I immediately thought of this old, rustic barn I knew about. It was such a beautiful evening heading up to the old barn. Claudia and I were doing some location scouting for a few other shoots we had coming up. By the time we met Jenn + Cody at the barn, the sun was just starting to kiss the tops of the trees, and give off that warm, golden light.

Jenn + Cody met at our local fair in the beer tent. When you grow up in a small town, the annual end of summer fair is something we all looked forward to. The fair is a pretty big deal in the summer. It’s a chance to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while, and just have a good time. For Jenn + Cody, this is where their story began. And, it couldn’t be more perfect.

I first met Jenn at the beginning of the summer when I was approached to capture some images for her for the Miss Sutton Fair pageant. (I know! She ended up as the fair ambassador after she met Cody!) After we had finished shooting, Jenn began to tell me about her engagement and upcoming wedding. As we chatted a little longer, it turned out that a number of friends had recommended us as photographers to shoot her wedding. It was as if the universe had randomly brought us together. 😉

We had such a great shoot with Jenn, Cody and Knuckles. (Who was such a good boy waiting in the truck for almost the entire session.) We can’t wait for your wedding next May, and some more good ol’ country love. We hope you enjoy these sneak peeks!
